In the mood to ring steel from another zip code or just want to get comfortable using your rifle & scope? Or maybe you’d like to shoot some different rifles and look through different scopes before making a big purchase. Regardless of the reason, the result will be ringing steel and having a good time.

The course is divided into a two day program. Day 1 focuses on getting a proper zero for your rifle at 100 yards and making sure the rifle and scope are setup correctly for you. We will determine the speed of your ammunition and create a profile in a 4DOF Ballistic Calculator. We will work on building stable shooting positions-prone, sitting, and standing utilizing a bipod & tripod. You will become intimate with how your scope works and comfortable with using either MOA or MRAD. We will then true the ballistic coefficient at 500 yards for your rifle using a 4DOF Ballistic Calculator. Lastly, we will go through a detailed cleaning regiment of your rifle.

Day 2 is a medium to long-range field day shooting steel targets at 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, and 1,000 yards. We have various sized steel targets that are freshly painted so you can get accurate feedback on your grouping and real numbers for your DOPE card. (Wristband coach with DOPE cards are provided.)

After completing Day 1 & 2, for those wanting to stretch their legs with Extreme Long Range (ELR), we do a separate ELR course beginning at 1,000 yards and progressing to steel targets at 1,200, 1,776, and 2,110 yards. Additional targets well past those can be setup as well.

Join us for a shooting excursion. You’ll have a great time. Class size is limited to four people.

Cost for Day 1&2 is $500. Cost for Day 3 ELR is $350(Must complete Day 1 & 2 course before ELR).

Cost to repeat the Day 2 Field Day is $200 for those of you who have gone through the course and want to go out again.
